Is a Wrist Bracelet GPS Tracking Device needed for your Elderly Parent.

Health Care GPS Tracking Bracelet
When is it time to start tracking your elderly parents
  • Is it after they forget where they went yesterday?
  • Maybe after leaving the house for a walk and end up getting lost?
  • When they still want some freedom, but you know you need to watch them.
  • Is it after they have been lost around town for hours, trying to find their way home?
  • After they have gone missing for 4 hours?
  • Or maybe when they call you and say, "can you come and get me".
This is a hard area to address with your parents. They are your parents and want to be seen in that parenting role. Not to be seen a a feeble, need your help type.
But the time will come, and you will know when that time is, you will have to make a hard decision.
OR, you can give them a ST-911 Health Care Bracelet to let them where. I know this may be a hard choice, but it may save you save grief on the front end and give you "Peace of Mind" on the long term.
Either way it is a tough decision.
We will keep bringing you ideas that may help you make that easier

Elderly Parents Tracking - Who Decides?

Today, my parent drove off from our house, on their way to Florida. Typical "snowbirds", spending summers in Michihgan and winters in Florida. It never bother me when they left, but now that dad is 80 and Mom is 78, I see more opportunity for getting lost. Now mind you, they have never been bad drivers, matter of fact, I cannot remember them ever in an accident. But still, 1400 miles, on the road, things can just happen.
They do have a cell phone, but I still wonder if they ever tell me of the missed turns, or wrong exits that they came in contact with.
I still think that I should put a GPS Tracker on their car. but if they found out, what would happpen?? Would they be upset with me? You bet!
I would do it out of concern and love for them. Only check it when they were driving down. With the new technology, you can just plug one into their OBDII port in their car and you're tracking. They could even send it back after they got down there.
This has been a pressing issue in our house. To Track or not to Track....
This discussion will keep going for a while.

When is it Time to Track your Elderly Parents?

When is it time to let your elderly parents know that they need to have a tracking device put on their car.
Is it after they have been lost around town for hours, trying to find their way home?
After they have gone missing for 4 hours?

But the time will come, and you will know when that time is, you will have to make a hard decision.
OR, you can plug a ST-300 into their car and not even let them know you are tracking them. I know this may be a hard choice, but it may save you save grief on the frontend and give you "Peace of Mind" on the long term.
Either way it is a tough decision.

Simple Tracking for Elderly Parents

Tracking the Elderly is a new phenomenon. Baby Boomers, having elderly parents, who still feel they want to drive and keep their independence, now have a device that can keep both sides feeling good about this.
The ST-300, from Safety Track, is a small, self-contained, real-time tracking unit. Unlike other devices, it simply plugs into the OBDII plug of your car. It is simple to use, with its web based interface. All you do is just log into your account from any internet connected computers and view the parents vehicle in real-time.
This is a cost effective solution to the ever present problem of “should I let my parents continue to drive”?

Lost Car Found

I wanted to share with you that the GPS tracking system works. We received a call from a relative that was visiting there 87 year old Uncle. When they arrive, they asked where his car was. He didn't remember what he did with it. so we went online and logged into his account and found the vehicle over at the service garage, about a mile away. The next day they went over, paid the bill and drove the car back home. The elderly still want their freedom to drive. Sometimes it works. Other times it doesn't. if you think you need to track a parent or love one because you need to see where they are. Go to www.safetytrack.net They have a great selection of tracking devices that can give you the peace of mind you may need in todays world.

Tracking Elderly Parents

As the Baby Boomers prepare for retirement and are looking where to live after the work day is done.
One issue keeps nagging at them. What to do with my elderly parents. They still want to be active and live on their own - going to the grocery store or taking a drive or walk in the evening. We shudder to think as they maintain their “freedom” that first signs of dementia start to creep into their lives. Maybe they forget where they parked, or which interstate they are on, it starts to happen. Offer them a way to keep active and giving you the “Peace of Mind” of knowing that at any time you can log on or dial up their Personal Tracking Unit and know where they are. With the 24/7 support line, help is as close as a SOS button away.
New products with new technology give you confidence for your parents. You may not be able to ride along with them, but now you can.
